Master: Feed my sheep.
Disciple: Why, Lord? Why would you enlist someone as lowly as me to shepherd your people?
Master: There is no more important endeavor. There is no more rewarding work. I will be with you.
Disciple: So are you saying I must shepherd if I am to be included in your Kingdom?
Master: I am. But not in the way you may be thinking. Your obligation is not a fear-based duty that is bound to a strict, burdensome obedience, but a joyful, natural one that comes from gratitude for what you have received from me. As a full cup must overflow, so you must shepherd as a member of my kingdom.
Disciple: But my apprehension! My personality! My flaws! My brokenness! My discomfort! My lack of knowledge! I am not qualified.
Master: I do not ask for your qualification. I ask for your willingness. I will qualify you. All you must be is willing.
Disciple: I am your humble servant. I will do my duty willingly.
Master: Enter into my kingdom, friend! Your willingness will shortly be replaced by an eagerness to serve. My joy will be yours!
