The Message of Power
During this "Going Public" series, we have spoken about some important aspects of sharing Christ with others.
We have acknowledged that it is our commission to do so. That Jesus himself modeled the mission of God, and then laid that mission upon all of us who claim to follow him.
We've explored that each of us will share Christ in different ways, unique to our gifts, histories, and circumstances. We are responsible for finding an approach, and to be unafraid of experimenting.
We've talked about the skills of looking for bridges to relationships with people, becoming authentic and true friends of the world that Christ died for, and then looking for bridges of conversation that would allow us to bring up weighty and spiritual subjects that really matter.
But all of this is for nothing, and will accomplish nothing of eternal significance, without one more thing...
The Gospel.
Without the Gospel message, we have nothing attractive, nothing life giving, nothing transforming, nothing that heals, nothing that helps, nothing that saves.
But with it comes a power that changes people. It changes everything.
