Looking FOr Bridges
Bridges are exceptional things.
There are some bridges that allow a trip from one place to another that used to take 2 full days and now only takes 20 minutes. There are other bridges that allow for cars to drive to places that were previously only accessible by boat. Some bridges make some beautiful spots accessible to people who otherwise would never be able to make it on their own to those places.
Let's imagine that there are some really worthy people out there in your world who are lacking life, lacking purpose, lacking passion, lacking hope, lacking joy, and lacking friends.
And then let's imagine that there are people like you who, if you just knew those people, you would love to help them find life, purpose, passion, hope, and joy. You would love to become their friend.
All that is needed is a bridge. A bridge that puts them in relationship with you.
One skill that every conscientious Christian should master is the identification of or creation of bridges; bridges between them and the people of the world, and bridges between people of the world into the church.
Why? Because how can you share Christ and make disciples of anyone without a relationship with them?
