My kids and I have gotten into playing the game "Monopoly" a little bit. It's fun for me to watch the dynamic of all of us with our different personalities interacting with each other over this game.
Shade has an idea for everyone about what they should do with their properties, Jakin likes to get certain color properties, and Callie will probably never win because she tries to give everyone money when they are running out because she feels so sorry for them. Then there is me, trying to "coach" each of my kids on how to play the game right.
One time, Jakin caught me by surprise. He wasn't doing so well, and he began making trades with us that made no sense to me, and so I kept pointing it out. "You can do you what you want, Jakin, but if you are going to play the game right, you won't do that, you'll do this."
He finally had enough. "Dad, you do not know what I'm doing here, so just leave me alone." I conceded, but with a lifting of my eyebrows and shake of my head.
Before I knew it, his insane tactics had positioned him with two monopolies in front of him, and enough money to buy houses, positioning him with a chance to win!
His way wasn't my way, but it was a way.
What is the "right" way to share Christ? There isn't just one approach. And while there are some ways that might work better than others more often, the only positively wrong way to share Christ is to not do it.
What's your way?
