God Guides

Imagine if I instructed my son Jakin (he's 8), to head over to Australia because I had something for him there that is not just something he wanted, but something that would satisfy his life for the rest of his life.

Now imagine that I also told him that there was a way to get there that would allow for him to enjoy the benefits of my gift, in part at least, while he traveled.

Now imagine that I told him that I was going to leave and head on over there; that he is entirely responsible, not only to get there, but to figure out the way.

How possible would it be for him to get there?

How likely is it that he would figure out the way?

And perhaps most importantly, what kind of father would I be if I did this to him?

David says in Psalm 23:3 that "He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake."

God, by His very nature, is a Guide. He doesn't leave us alone to find our way. He shows us the way. He leads us in the way. And this verse tells us why He does it. Because, it makes Him a very, very, very great God.

Did you know that if sheep stay in one pasture too long, they burn it out; rendering it useless? God is guiding, so be a good sheep and keep moving.
