Disciple: Master, what about money?
Master: Watch out. Be on your guard against all kinds of greed.
Disciple: There are different kinds? Expose them!
Master: One kind makes a man believe his life comes from his abundance of possessions.
Disciple: Save me from this, master.
Master: Another kind makes a man believe that if he has enough saved to eating, drink, and be merry for years, that this is wisdom.
Disciple: Save me from this, lord! When am I in danger of this?
Master: When you have enough money to ask, "What shall I do with it?" This is when you must watch out and be on your guard. How you answer that question shows where you put your faith.
Disciple: What shall I do then, with the money I have today that I do not need for my daily bread?
Master: My child, I know you want a simple answer. But none shall be given, for there are many ways to show the Father's glory.
Disciple: I struggle between trusting God and trusting my money.
Master: As you should, for you cannot serve both. Obey me when I say to watch out and be on your guard. This posture, with my Spirit, will guide you.
