Disciple: Master, teach me to worship God!
Master: Tell me, how do you go about it?
Disciple: I sing and make music.
Master: What else?
Disciple: I meet regularly with others in your name.
Master: What else?
Disciple: I pray, by myself and with others.
Master: Is that all?
Disciple: No, master. I serve others, I partake of the Lord's Supper daily, I study His creation, I study, memorize, and live out the scriptures, I use my resources and time to advance the Kingdom, and I tell others who do not know about you.
Master: And?
Disciple: Please, Master, what else is there.
Master: Nearness, my disciple. The fruit of your lips and actions, no matter how much they honor God, are of no use to Him apart from your heart being fully engaged with Almighty God.
Disciple: Help me, Master. Should I quit all that I do in worship and focus on coming close?
Master: As you have heard me say about other things, my friend, you should do the latter without neglecting for former.
