Bringing It In To Your Heart
I have a T-shirt that my buddy Doyle designed that is quite clever. It has the phrase, "It's not about me!" plastered across the chest, but it is UPSIDE DOWN so that I can read it when I look down at my shirt.
It's a powerful reminder that this life is about God, not you.
But there is a paradox here. It can also rightly be said that the Christian walk IS about you.
It is about you learning.
It is about you changing.
It is about you healing.
It is about you growing.
It is about you engaging.
It is about you transforming.
It is about you working.
It is about you receiving.
It is about you becoming.
So...it is about you.
It is about you taking responsibility for the health, growth, and productivity in your life with God.
In our "Bring It In" series, we have reminded you that you need spiritual friendships, so get engaged with a small group. We have reminded you that you need to study Christ, so get engaged with your Bible. And today, we remind you that no one has the power to see to it that you do these things...except you.
