Seeing God
There are a whole lot of things that I have set about wanting to see in this life. Some of them I have seen, others are still on my bucket list.
I want to see the earth come rushing towards me as I plummet from a plane (with a parachute attached).
I want to see mountain ranges from the top of them, waterfalls from underneath them, and caves from within them, all over the world.
I want to see my children become diligent followers of Jesus Christ, changing the world on his behalf a unique and powerful way of their choice and out of their own conviction.
I want to see Heaven. Whatever it ends up being after I die, I want to see Heaven.
I want to see the Kingdom advanced obviously and powerfully through our Southwest church family, so that we may share in pieces of Heaven while still here on earth.
But above it all, I have to tell you, I want to see God.
I would turn all of that in just to see God. So purify my heart, O God, because Jesus says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." (Mt 5:8)
