The Miracle of Unity
When my wife and I are working in lock-step unity, we get things done. When my kids are of one mind, they enjoy each other immensely. When our church family agrees with one another and and pulls in the same direction, it is a powerful sight that can move mountains.
Last Monday night, a bunch of 3rd through 5th Graders worked in lock step unity, of one mind, pulling together in the same direction. They were at a warehouse downtown, joining dozens of others, organizing, packing, and preparing the wrap for literally thousands of economically disadvantaged children in and around Amarillo. They were a sight to behold.
Today we honor, exalt, and celebrate the miracle that happens within the bond of unity around the name of Christ.
What is it? Nothing less than God's presence. When as few as two people intentionally agree on something under the authority of Jesus Christ, God Himself is experienced.
I praise God for the unity we are working inside of here at Southwest. May we get things done, enjoy each other, be a powerful sight, and above all...experience God.
