Moving God

Disciple: Would you teach me to pray, Master?

Master: Yes. Go to God as a father.

Disciple: How humbling! May I really?

Master: Not only may you, but you must. He doesn't respond to any other way. Also, do not pray for show. Interact with Him from a secret place.

Disciple: So I must always go to Him alone?

Master: No. There is great power in group prayer. If you are with a group of my followers, and you can all deeply agree in me, your group can have anything they ask.

Disciple: What about God's will?

Master: It is God's will to give you whatever you ask, so long as you ask in my name.

Disciple: If I say "in Jesus name," it will be done?

Master: Praying in my name has little to do with saying those words. Praying in my name means that you are living as a subject of my
Kingdom. It means that you have given up your will and agreed with mine. If you choose to live like me, then ask whatever you want,
because you will be living in my name. Why wouldn't the Father give you whatever you want?

Disciple: I think I have much to learn about prayer. About moving God to act on my behalf.

Master: Use your life to act on His behalf, and He will use His power to act on yours. It would be in God's self-interest to do so, since you act on His behalf. Submit to His loving fatherhood in your life, and He will treat you as His child. He will do whatever you ask as you go about the family business of loving the world.
