Disciple: Master, why have you come?
Master: I have been sent by my Father. Sent to heal your broken heart. To release you from your captivity.
Disciple: You speak so broadly, Master. What do you expressly mean for me?
Master: My friend. This message is universal enough to cover all. And personal enough to address your specific heart and captivity. Anything that hinders you from a full life in your heart — from peace, joy, righteousness — is what I have come to heal. If you would but slow down and pay attention, you would notice what that specifically means for you.
Disciple: What is my part in this?
Master: Your part is to press on, take hold of what I have for you. Take hold of healing, release, light, forgiveness... salvation. All of this comes from knowing my Father.
Disciple: Are you saying that who I am currently is not enough? Your words sound so condemning and leave me feeling so inadequate, undone, and guilty!
Master: He who has an ear, let him hear! Anything that sounds condemning and any feelings of inadequacy are not from me! That is the Enemy, coming to steal, kill and destroy! Pray to the Father against these feelings and sounds, and they will flee, and then you will hear only the pure life I offer in my message.
Disciple: And as I heal, Master, what else shall I do?
Master: As my Father has sent me, so I am sending you.
Disciple: Me? To heal broken hearts? To set captives free? This would be the honor of my life, to deliver to others what you deliver to me! How dare I believe that I could be a part of such a life of blessing?
Master: You may dare because I am with you. Always. To the very end. This is the life of fullness that the Father has paid to give you. You need only believe.
