A Disciple of Jesus Is Peaceful

Unexpected expenses just came in.
Income is lacking.
The kids are whining.
The parents are stressful.
My friends don't understand.
Real needs are mounting.
Expectations are looming.
The church is demanding.
The time is disappearing.
The marriage isn't right.
The romance is wanting.
A blow-up is building.
Work isn't working.
Bosses aren't caring.
Employees aren't producing.
My limitations are oppressing.
Some want more than they ought.
Others want less than they should.
Some ask when they shouldn't.
Others don't when I wish they would.
I'm accused falsely.
I'm accused accurately.
Sickness is upon me.
Death has assaulted my family.
The enemy has successfully attacked.
Those I love are hurting.
And to make things worse, gas prices are up.

And in the midst of all of this and more, God promised that He would send to us a "Prince of Peace." And that "of the increase of his peace there will be no end." (Isa 9:6-7)

And when He got here, He then promised, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you."

The Father is called the "God of Peace." His son Jesus, the "Prince of Peace". And you, disciple, get to have that peace as well. And of the increase of that peace there will be no end.
