Putting The Bible Into Practice

The Disciple of Jesus knows the Bible...but that's not enough.

I know a guy who has learned everything he needs to know to make as much money as he wants in buying and selling Real Estate...but he just hasn't put it into practice.

The facts are important, but the facts don't make him money.

I know a girl who has gone to counseling, read books, and attended seminars outlining for her the path to healing her injured heart. She can spell it out, and she has even helped other women towards healing...but she hasn't put it into practice.

The knowledge is crucial, but the knowledge doesn't heal her.

I know a guy who reads his Bible daily. When he is not reading it, he is thinking about it. When he is not thinking about it, he's writing about it. When he is not writing about it, he's talking about it. He knows the Bible...but he hasn't put it into practice.

The information is essential, but the information doesn't transform; it doesn't bring about the Kingdom of God; it doesn't make disciples; it doesn't love God and love others; and it doesn't save souls.

You don't have to quiz a person to find out if they are Biblically grounded...you have to watch them. When you see what you read about in the Bible being put into practice in the life and heart of a man, that's when you'll know.

Jesus said it like this: "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man...But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man."

Make no mistake, reading and knowing the Bible is a useless work if it remains unpracticed.
