Doyle Corder

Gatherings Minister

Doyle grew up in Lubbock, Texas, at Quaker Avenue Church of Christ. He attended Lubbock Christian University, where he met his wife, Christy. Doyle and Christy then transferred to Texas Tech University where they both studied Music Education. He served for three years at Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview, Texas, as the associate minister for youth and young families. Doyle and Christy moved to Southwest in August of 2000 to focus on worship ministry and begin a college-age ministry. In 2005, Doyle took on the office administration duties and the Senior Adult Ministry at Southwest. Christy loves music and singing and teaches music at South Georgia Elementary School. Doyle and Christy have three children Everett(boy), Avery(girl), and Truett(boy).
